When plates slide past each other
A
Passive boundaries. Crust neither created nor destroyed. Leads to build uo of pressure until starts moving and earthquake occurs. Can cause fault lines

When plates separate
A
Gap is formed between 2 plates. Magma rise out of mantle to fill gap. When solidified, forces plates apart further allowing more magma to rise
