Importance of Planning
Aamir Khan comes out with VIP and takes out planner.
1. Provides Direction - Aamir and Salman Khan see Karan Johar (Director) who directs them towards the underpass.
2. Reduces Risk Of Uncertainity - Three ways under the underpass with curtains, Aamir uncurtains one way and goes.
3. Reduces Overlapping and Wasteful Activities - Salman goes back and forth on the multiple paths, overlapping and wasting time.
4. Promotes Innovative Ideas - Aamir comes out to see an Innova with an idea mobile phone sim inside.
5. Helps in Decision Making - Aamir stops to see a person making dishes and helps him in dish making He asks him where Raveena is, to which he points to a mansion.
6. Establishes Standards for Controlling - Aamir goes and sees Raveena standing on stabaliser. Aamir presses buttons on a remote control and takes her down.
Limitations of Planning
Salman has a torn planner in his hands. He and Aamir decide to race again limiting speed to 50 km/hr.
1. Huge Cost - Aamir buys costly horse for Rs. 5 Lakh, whereas Salman buys Nano for Rs. 1 Lakh.
2. Rigidity - Stones come on the road, horse becomes rigid, Nano car moves on by growing monster truck wheels.
3. May not work in Dynamic Enviroment - Dynamite starts exploding, horse gets wounded with blood, Nano goes through unharmed.
4. Time Consuming - Aamir sees watch, and sees its hands are moving very fast. Day and night is switching again and again.
5. Creativity - Finally, there is massive Jam on country highway. Salman is creative and his car gets wings and flys above jam, Aamir gets stuck.
6. Does not Gaurantee Success - Salman reaches first and Raveena is waiting at the altar. Aamir is unsuccessfull.
Features of Planning
Salman and Aamir are planning their future and imagining themself on a hillside restaurant.
1. Focuses on Achieving Objectives - Salman and Aamir focus through binoculars on Raveena (objective) who is on another island.
2. Primary Function of Managment - They see Raveena sending primary school children to red-bricked Harvard Management School.
3. Pervasive - Parvez comes beside them.
4. Continous Process - They all sing continously for hours.
5. Involves Decision Making - The guests at the restaurant get angry and make dishes to throw at them.
6. Mental Excercise - They are sent to a mental hospital where they excercise on treadmills.
7. Futuristic - They see no hope, so they then go to a tarrot card reader and ask them to tell their future, and the tarot card reader tells there future using stick.
Steps in Planning Process
Salman and Aamir are sitting on steps of a staircase and seeing a marriage procession.
1. Setting Objectives - When the go up the first step, they see the sun shaped carriage and set Raveena inside it.
2. Developing Premises - There are lots of shoes on a temple behing them, and they see Dev D wearing a pair of shoes out which promise toothpaste starts foaming out. Dev D asks them to promise him not to tell anyone else.
3. Identifying Alternative Course of Action - They then run away to see a tree far which they then sit under. A policeman comes to them and asks them for their ID Cards and whether they’re allowed to sit under this tree. Suddenly, Action Jets start shooting missiles alternatively.
4. Evaluating Alternative Courses Of Action - They run away to see a door on which there are multiple action fighting course books like MMA, which they evaluate.
5. Selecting an Alternative - They then take out knives and select one book each.
6. Implementing the Plan - They then check their pockets to find vicks boxes. Salan finds an imli inside and Aamir sees a polo mint inside (imli-mint)
7. Follow Up Action - They look up to see Raveena who they then start following. Raveena picks up an oven and throws it at them.
Types of Plans
Aamir types a score on a computer. Aamir and Salam are playing a game of darts.
1. Objective - Raveena is in place of the bullseye in the dart board, and Aamir and Salman throw darts at her, to which she screams.
2. Policy - Police sirens are heard and the police quickly arrive thinking that they are trying to murder her.
3. Rule - They try to run away and the police starts chasing them with simple rulers in their hand which they throw at them.
4. Strategy - They are running on a straight vertical road when they the ZEE shaped ZEE TV office. (straight-ZEE)
5. Programme - They go inside and the reporter inside a studio asks them to do a programme for them and in retrun she’ll hide them from the police.
6. Budget - They are given a badge and model jet after they finish their programme. (badge-jet)
7. Procedure - They sit on the minature jet and fly back home to which they find their padosi running after (duar) them to which they get scared (dur) (padosi-dur)
8. Method - They run into fields with metal crops and put hoodies on their head to hide themselves.
