Name the 7 planets in our Solar System?
Mercury - Venus - Earth - Mars - Jupiter - Saturn - Uranus - Neptune.
Mercury
Smallest planet in the solar system. A year is only 88 days long.
Venus
2nd brightest object in the night sky after the moon. 2nd largest terrestrial planet
Earth
largest of the terrestrial planets. The only planet that was not named after a God and only planet where life exists.
Mars
2nd smallest planet. Described as the ‘Red Planet’
Jupiter
Largest planet. The Great Red Spot is a huge storm on Jupiter.
It has raged for at least 350 years. It is so large that three Earths could fit inside it.
Saturn
2nd largest planet. Has a gas giant with an average radius of earth 9x.
Uranus
3rd largest planet and 4th largest planetary mass. Uranus has two sets of very thin dark coloured rings.
Neptune
It is the 4th largest planet by diameter. Neptune has a very active climate. Large storms occur and high-speed winds track around the planet are up to 600 meters per second.
