Pilot report of weather conditions encountered by aircraft in flight. PIREPS can be issued about turbulence, icing, winds, aircraft visibility and weather, low level wind shear, tops of storms cloud layers. At a minimum the PIREP must contain a header, aircraft location, time, flight level, aircraft type and one other field stating the weather conditions encountered by the aircraft.
