- Increased incidence in young adults
- Males > females
- Patients with hirsutism predisposed to disease

A
Pain in area
Drainage

What is the etiology of pilonidal disease?
A
Caused by infection of hair follicle

What are the physical exam findings for pilonidal disease?
A
Multiple midline sinuses
Abscess, tenderness

How do we treat pilonidal disease?
A
Good hygiene
Surgery: excision of sinus
Complication: abscess formation
