Tuath
The land and people owned by the King.
Social class
In the same class as slaves at the bottom, but still above women
Housing
Farmers lived in raths, crannógs, hill forts or promontory forts.
Housing and animals
Some crannogs had a bridge from the land to the house standing on water to let the animals inside for protection
Protection
Farmers also need of protection this is why promontory forts were built around to cliffs so that enemies could only attack from one side
Animals
Farmers kept the animals mainly cattle and sheep and some would have a goat or a pig as well, they were used for meat like beef and skin like wool
Brehon law
At the time of Ireland was ruled by Brehon law. Well was calculated by the amount of cattle, 50 cattle were as important as one person. Fines were also paid in cattle
Crops
They grind and crops on the rotary quern stone to make flour. They made ale from Barley and provided the food for the tuath and the feasts of the Rí
Clothing
Farmers wore woollen trousers and their wife’s wore a long plane wall tunic. they did not wear Jewelry, make up or bright colours, as they were expensive
Hair
It is said that celts had light hair, but used lime wash to make it lighter
Religion
Oh Celts believed in many gods and cremated the dead

An Daghda: chief God and God of the afterlife
Lugh: God of war, Festival of Lughnasa celebrates him
Bridget: The main goddess
Worshipping
They worshipped in the woods aside streams where they felt closer to the gods.the priests were called Druids.
