Identify and explain one (1) reason for reporting concerning measurements in an accurate and timely way.
1) Follow policies and/or procedures:
because it is your professional responsibility and if you do not there are
consequences
2) For accurate diagnosis accurate diagnosis will lead to
appropriate treatment
which will result in better health
outcome for the client
3) To prevent further harm to the service user and Safeguarding
This could cause harm to the service user, therefore the practitioner would be failing in their safeguarding
responsibilities.
Identify three (3) ways to use a thermometer to take a person’s
temperature.

- Ear
- Forehead
4.Underarm - rectal
Stress can affect physiological measurements.
Identify four (4) physiological measurements affected by stress
and briefly explain the effect that stress has on one (1) of these
measurements
- Respiration Rate
Explanation:
Respiration rate increases as the body needs more oxygen to fight or run.
- Pulse
Pulse increases to get oxygen to the muscles faster.
3) Blood Pressure
Blood pressure increases to increase blood flow.
4) Oxygen Saturation
Oxygen saturation reduces as oxygen is utilised by muscles.
5) Temperature
Temperature increases as increased activity produces heat.
