How does the shape of the surface affect light reflecting off it? (flat, convex, concave)
If the light hits a flat mirror then the light will bounce back in the same angle as it hit the object. If its concave then the light will be bent inwards towards the middle. if its convex then the ligh will be bent outwards away from the middle.
How does air, water or glass change the speed of light?
Its thee density od the thing that light is passsinf through that changes the speed. Since water and glass is more dense it slows down the light, air has a very low density sow it barely changes the speed of light.
What happens when white light shines through a prism?
The white light is being seperaated into its compotent colours.
What is refraction?
Refraction is the bending of light. If you put for example a straw in a glass of water it will look like the straw is crooked while really its just the light that bends in the water.
How does light travel?
Light travels in waves, in lightwaves. The longest ray is the red light and the shortest is the violet light, that we can see. The acctual shortest is the gamma rays and the acctual longest are radiowaves.
What is reflection?
When light bounces back without being absorbed into an object. On for example an blue mug the only colour thats being reflected is the blue light.
