The frequency of a wave explains how many wave legths pass by a fixed point during a second.

A wavelength is the distance between two waves

Whats happening when we see the colour white?
A
All colours of light are being reflected of that surface leaving it looking white.

Whats happeninng when we see the colour black?
A
All colours of light are being absorbed into that surface leaving it looking black.

Why do we see objects of different colours (what happens to the light)?
A
When we see for example the colour red we see red because that’s the only colour being reflected.
