Q

Explain relief precipitation

A

Due to the slope of the mountain, moist air will rise up it. this causes the air to expand making the amount of the evaporation decrease, while the amount of condensation increases. when the water droplets being carried up get too heavy, rain will occur, and the dry air of the mountain will push the clouds away

Q

Explain convectional precipitation

A

The sun begins to heat the ground causing a large amount of warm air to rise. as the air rises, it begins to cool, creating cloud from the condensed water vapour. This causes large clouds to form meaning a very large rainfall begins

Q

Explain cyclonic precipitation

A

It begins when an area of cold air meets an area of warm air. since warm air rises, it’s forced over top of the other air. this makes the area where the two temperatures meet begin to cool, making condensed water vapour. this causes clouds to form making rain occur.
