Plants take in water and carbon dioxide and use energy from the sun to turn them into food.

Describe how you would draw a picture of the process of photosynthesis
Draw the sun in the corner and a plant in the middle with roots that go into the ground. Draw arrows coming from the sun labelled light energy, arrows labelled carbon dioxide, arrows coming out of the leaves on the other side labelled oxygen and an arrow going into the roots labelled water.

What does photosynthesis mean?
Photo = light and synthesis = to make or put together so it means to use light to make something, in this case food.
Where does photosynthesis happen?
It happens in all the green parts of the plant (usually the leaves)
What do plants do to store the glucose sugar?
They turn it into starch and store it in their leaves, stems, roots, flowers, fruits and seeds.
