Manner of Articulation
We use this as for classifying consonants and then assigning them to different groups.

This is a complete stop of the airflow then continued with a release.
Fricatives
Caused by the lower lips and the upper front teeth when they are close together creating a small passage through which air can escape creating an audible friction. This is a characteristic noise after which this class of consonants.
Nasals
Caused when the velum is lowered then leaving an open passage from the oral to the nasal cavity, so that the air can escape through the nose creating a nasal sound.
