Flapping

Deletion

Epenthesis
adding a segment into a word to make it easier to pronounce
eg: something–> [sʌmpθɪŋ]
Metathesis
reordering sounds in order to make them easier to say
prescribe –> perscribe
Vowel Reduction
Reducing the length of a vowel common speech
eg: banana [banana] –> [bənana]
sonority scale
