Omniscient
The Christian belief that God is all knowing
Omni-benevolent
The Christian belief that God is all loving
Moral evil
Evil resulting from the exercise of people’s free will and human choice
Natural evil
Evil caused by natural forces and natural events in the world
Intrinsic
As a part of something, by its very nature. EG a pacifist may say war is ‘intrinsically evil’ (so it is evil by nature)
Free will
The ability to make choices freely and without force or compulsion
Satan
God’s opposite. Often referred to as anti-Christ or the devil. Arch Angel Lucifer is often referred to as the Devil - he disobeyed God and was sent to Hell where he was punished.
Conscience
The small voice within a person that is said to be from God, which tells a person what is right and wrong
An Ethical Monotheist
A person who believes in only one God, that is the source of all goodness and gives us moral instructions and guidelines
Moral
The right thing to do
Immoral
The wrong thing to do
Evil
The opposite of Good. Something that is irredeemably bad with no positive features about it
Suffering
The usual result to when innocent people suffer evil
Omnipotent
The belief that God is all powerful and can do anything
Atheist
Someone who does not believe in God
Dualism
Any system of belief involving two equal and/or opposite elements, such as the belief in God and the Devil
Punishment
Paying for any sins or crimes you have committed
What is the fall
This is when Adam and Eve ate the apple from the Tree of Knowledge, resulting in the fall from Grace and their expulsion from Eden
What is the Original Sin?
The sin of Adam and Eve that is carried by all descendants, it can be removed by baptism at birth. A process in which humans are cleansed
Crucifixion
The method of execution that Jesus Christ faced as he was placed on the cross through which all Christians believe he redeemed humanity
