A
All chromosomes in the cell copy themselves in preparation for the division.

A
Spindle fibres form in the cell and the nuclear membrane starts to break down/disappear.

Metaphase
A
chromosomes line up in the middle of the cell.

Anaphase
A
The chromatids are pulled apart to either ends of the cell by the spindle fibres.

Telophase
A
The single chromosomes arrive at opposite sides of the cell and the membranes around each nucleus starts to form again.

Cytokenesis
A
The cytoplasm of the cell seperates and the cell membrane divides the cell into two genetically identical daughter cells.
