Script for performing intradermal (TB)
I’ll be performing a Mantoux test with PPD (Purified Protein Derivative). This test will check for Tuberculosis which is a highly contagious upper respiratory Infection. After I create the wheal please do not rub, scratch, or put anything tight around the area. I need you to return in 48- 72 hours later so we can read the diameter of the wheal. If it is greater than 10mm we will order a 2nd step or perform a chest x-ray.
