Pharmacology Flashcards
What is the MOA of Warfarin?
Competitive inhibitor of VKOR
What are the ADR’s of Warfarin
Haemorrhage, hepatic dysfunction, jaundice, nausea, pancreatitis
What are the CI’s of Warfarin?
Haemorrhagic CVA, excessive bleeding, NSAIDs, INR > 4.5
What is the antidote of Warfarin?
Vit K
What is the MOA of Clopidogrel?
Inhibitor of platelet P2Y12 ADP receptor = reduced response to collagen
What are the ADR’s of Clopidogrel?
Abd. pain, bleeding disorders, diarrhoea, dyspepsia
What are the CI’s of Clopidogrel?
Active bleeding, prior to surgery
What is the MOA of Telenecteplase?
Form of tissue plasminogen activating factor (tPA)
tPA turns plasminogen > plasmin = rapidly dissolves clots so fibrinolysis
What are the ADR’s of Telenecteplase?
Serious bleeds, re-perfusion pathologies
What are the CI’s of Telenecteplase?
Recent haemorrhage, anti-coag/anti-plat drugs, aneurysm, aortic dissection
What is the antidote of Telenecteplase?
Tranexamic acid
