Pharmacokinetics vs. pharmacodynamics - what are their definitions?
A
- Pharmacokinetics = the movement of drugs in the body, i.e. absorption, distribution, metabolisation and excrection
- Pharmacodynamics = the effect of drugs on the body and their mechanism of action

What is tolerance? vs. desensitisation?
A
- Tolerance = higher dose of a drug is required to achieve the same effect
- Desensitisation = drug receptors are degraded
