Q

Step function

A

(It’s sometimes not as simple as a drug flowing into an intravenous compartment at a constant rate with a numerical value)
• if we want to administer a drug starting at a definite time, t, after the simulation begins, we use the step functions

Q

How to increase rate

A

Increase rate at which we give the drug by decreasing the duration (I.e. taller, thinner pulse)
-> same dose; shorter time
