Q

What are Restrictive pattern D/O?

A

•Diseases that limit lung expansion by decreasing lung compliance:
sarcoidosis, pneumoconiosis, idiopathic/interstitial pulmonary fibrosis
•Loss of Lung Volume:
lung resection, pneumothorax, pleural effusion
•Chest Wall Deformity/Disease:
pectus excavatum, kyphosis, scoliosis, straight-back syndrome, neuromuscular disorders
(MD, ALS)
•Extra-thoracic Compression:
obesity, pregnancy, ascites
•Intra-thoracic Compression:
