A: odd-eccentric (paranoid, schizoid, schizotypal)
B: dramatic-emotional (borderline, histrionic, antisocial, narcissitic)
C: anxious-fearful (avoidant, dependent, obsessive-compulsive)
Schizoid
Detached, aloof, restricted emotions
Indifferent, remote, does not connect
Often lives alone, tends not to self refer for therapy
Schizotypal
Relationship discomfort (even though they may want them), cognitive/perceptual distortions, eccentric
Odd thinking and behaviour, may blur reality and fantasy
Others just dont really get them
Can be a prodrome of schizophrenia
Borderline
Instability in relationships, mood, and self image
Unpredictable, impulsive, suicide risk

Preoccupied: orderliness, control perfectionism
Really hard on relationships (difficulties functioning interpersonally)
Dialectical behavior therapy
Psychological long term treatment for personality disorders

Medications in treating personality disorders
SSRIs for depression and anxiety
Low dose atypical antipsychotics for borderline (impulsivity/aggression) and schizotypal (illogical thinking)
