What is dialectical behavior therapy (DBPT)?
DBT is a modified form of cognitive behavioral therapy that incorporates the concept of “mindfulness” from Buddhist philosophy
DBT focuses on emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness through individual therapy, group skills training, and telephone coaching
DBT has also been adapted for adolescents with BPD
