What are cluster A personality disorders?
Difficult social interaction and thoughts that don’t conform to reality.
Paranoid

What are cluster B personality disorders?
Highly emotional and dramatic, and extremely unpredictable. Borderline/emotionally unstable Narcissistic Antisocial Histrionic
What are cluster C personality disorders?
Focused on anxiety and fear.
Obsessive compulsive
Dependent
Avoidant
What is Paranoid personality disorder?
General distrust of others that gets in the way of ordinary relating
What is Schizoid personality disorder?
- Outwardly indifferent to social contact with others.
- Often strikingly unbothered by lack of sociality
- Rich fantasy life
What is Schizotypal personality disorder?
- Schizophrenia spectrum condition
- Very odd, incredibly eccentric
- Psychotic-like experiences, intuitions, magical thoughts etc
What is Borderline personality disorder?
- Distressed when relationships are strained, difficult behaviours to try and manage strong feelings
- Make frantic efforts to avoid abandonment
- Tendency to be unsure about one’s identity
What is Narcissistic personality disorder?
- Have a very high opinion of themselves and a very little sense of what matters to other people
- Have a deep sense of inadequacy that is very painful for them to acknowledge
What is Antisocial personality disorder?
- Persistent clinical conduct and a tendency of remorselessness to those affected by it
- Comes in a spectrum: Antisocial conduct, callousness, enjoyment of violence, and psychopathic
What is Histrionic personality disorder?
- Dramatic displays of emotion that seem to ring hollow
- May be openly flirtatious and continuously seeking appreciation
What is Obsessive compulsive personality disorder?
It’s not OCD.
- Tendency to obstinateness, rigidity and significant anxiety at anything that is not orderly
- Presentation may be due to associated anxiety which is lifelong.
What is Dependent personality disorder?
Marked difficulty assuming appropriate adult responsibilities and defers to others in all areas
What is Avoidant personality disorder?
- Avoidant traits to avoid conflict and to put off problems.
- Build up a large number of problems to become more and more depressed.
