- A Roman Catholic - Archbishop in 1974
- Assassinated 24th March 1980 while celebrating Mass
- In El Salvador many were oppressed due to corruption
- His meetings were banned but he still campaigned
- Held meetings, speeches to inform about corruption

Why did Oscar Romero do what he did?
A
- The Bible teaches to speak for those who are voiceless
- Jesus also broke the rules (healed people on the Sabbath Day)
- It is important to respect the law till it goes against the teachings of Christianity

Malala Yousafzai
A
- Born in 1997 and survived an attempted assassination in 2012
- Campaigned for education for girls in Pakistan where Taliban were in charge
- She was bought to the UK, became a leading advocate for girls rights
- The youngest recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014

Why did Malala Yousafzai do what she did?
A
- She believes girls should have the same rights as boys
- Qur’an says all should seek knowlegde
- Muslims have a duty to fight for justice (Ummah)
