- For example living on less that x% of average UK income

- An acute state of deprivation, whereby a person cannot access the most basic of their human needs
- For example not being able to access clean drinking water

- Promoting a fair society by challenging injustice and valuing diversity
- For example ensuring that everyone has equal access to provision, equal opportunities and rights
