Person perception
The different mental processes used to understand and form impressions of other people
Direct perception
Info provided from the person we are judging through observing or interacting with them
Indirect perception
Through hearing about the person we are judging from another person of source
First impressions
Long lasting impression usually based on very little information often in less than a second
Attribution
Evaluation made about the causes of behaviour and actions, both our own and others
Internal attribution
Behaviour has been caused by something personal within an individual
External attribution
Resulting from situational factors occurring outside the individual
