Perpendicular and Angle Bisector Theorems Flashcards
What are Perpendicular Lines?
Lines that intersect to form 90 degree angles.
What is a Segment Bisector?
A segment that bisects another segment.
What is a Perpendicular Bisector?
A line that passes through the midpoint of a segment that is perpendicular to another segment.
What does Equidistant mean?
Equal distance between multiple things.
What is a Locus?
The set of all points that satisfy a condition.
What is the Perpendicular Bisector Theorem?
If a point is on the perpendicular bisector of a segment, then it is equidistant from the endpoints of the segment.
What is an Angle Bisector?
A ray that divides an angle into two congruent angles.
What is the Converse of the Angle Bisector Theorem?
If a point in the interior of an angle is equidistant from the sides of the angle, then it is on the bisector of the angle.
