• central cyanosis

- carotids + bruits

What do you do in abdomen?

Answer 3

• palpate and auscultate AAA
• scars
• femoral pulses

Question 4

What do you look for in the limbs?

Answer 4

• inspection: ischaemia, hair loss, ulcers, colour, oedema
• palpation: pulses, cap refill, squeeze calf (critical ischaemia), sensation
• Beurger’s test - supine lift heel and see if it drains, then lower it and see if it flushes to refill
