Blood with fibrinous/suppurative exudate
Pericardiocentesis
Culture, gram stain, cells, malignant
Chronic constrictive pericarditis
Encased in dense, fibrous, calcific shell- limits diastolic expansion and CO
Cardiac myxoma
commonest benign tumor
Forms mass on stalk, usually on LA septum, grows slowly
Rarely found on ventricles

position pt to hear murmur better
embolism can cause strokes

subependymal nodules, astrocytoma, angiofibromas, subungual fibromas

purple skin lesions
