What is fatalism?
A
- When losses are accepted as inevitable and people remain where they are. People think it is at Gods will whatever happens will happen.

What is adaptation?
A
- People see that they can prepare for and therefore survive the events by prediction, prevention, depending upon the economic and technological circumstances of the area in question.

What is Fear?
A
The perception of the hazard is such that people feel so vulnerable to an event that they are no longer able to face living in that area and move away to regions perceived to be unaffected by the hazard.
