Is/of= %/100 means per 100, comparing a # to 100. (Example: what is 50% of 200. Set up a proportion or. Multiply, to multiply 0.50x200=100=
x/200. 100x2=200 so 50 x 2 = x, which is 100.

The percent that something has changed, decrease or increase. Formula- amount of change (OG-new) OG EX: percents of change for 60F To 84F 60-84+124/60=24 divided by 60 which is 0.4=40%

Similar to precent of change, discount and markup is a percent adds of subtracts to a number. Ex: doll was $40 sold for 80, how much of a marketplace was that. 100%

Simple and Compound interest

Simple- EX: 1000$ at 4.5% annual interest for 3 years. To do this multiply them all together, which is 135$ Compound- this is a system that you get percent off of each new number. EX: mth one with 100$with +1.00interest, next mth 101.00, then 102.1,etc. EX: 2000$ compounded at 2% for 2 years. First 2000x1.02= (put one in front to add current number to new) 2040.4 then 2080.8. So 2080.8 is the answer
