Epaphroditus
Co-laborer of Paul and representative of the church of Philippi entrusted with that church’s gift to Paul while Paul was in prison.
Luke
A co-worker of the apostle Paul. Called by him “the beloved physician.” Traditional author of the third Gospel and the Acts of the Apostles.
Onesimus
A slave from Colossae. Led to faith by the apostle Paul during Paul’s imprisonment and sent back to his master, Philemon, with the letters of Colossians and Philemon.
Philemon
A Christian friend of Paul, patron of a house-church in Colossae, and owner of the runaway slave Onesimus. Urged by Paul to accept Onesimus back “as a beloved brother.”
Titus
Gentile co-worker of Paul’s, apparently from Paul’s earliest ministry in Antioch. Was Paul’s emissary to the church in Corinth and appointed by Paul to pastor a church in Crete.
Jude
A brother of Jesus and author of the letter of Jude.
