Helped create the sewers after the great stink? Which was ordered after the very smell and poor air quality started to affect the rich (as well as the poor) - he was head engineer in the project of creating said sewers via using gravity to bring the sewage downriver into the sea (43 miles) and handles hundreds of million of tonnes of sewage.
what did Bevan and Beveridge do?
Bevan was the health minister in 1948, who helped create the NHS.
The Beveridge report was done in 1942 (by Beveridge) and had the 5 giants of welfare (Want, Disease, Ignorance, Squalor, and Idleness), which laid the foundations for the NHS.
What did Booth do which was similar to Beveridge?
Write a report on the poverty in some part of the uk - he found out that 35% of London lived in absolute poverty in 1899. (You can imagine how much relative poverty there was.)

The poor laws - he also di a report on sanitary conditions in 1842 as well as campaigned for cities to clean up and form health boards.

Figured out how blood circulated through the body in the 1700s - al Nafis did it in the 1200s.

as he was the first western man that showed that disease may not be only to do with the divine.
