protective extension UE (parachute, downwards, forwards, sideways, backwards) POSITION. AND STIMULUS
Position: Prone head in midposition and arms extended
Stimulus: suspension by ankles and pelvis and sudden movement of head toward floor
Response: Should flex and elbows and wrist extend, and infants catches themselves in direction pushed.
Age: starts at 6-9 months
stagger LE (forward , backward, sideways
position - stnading upright
stimulus- displacment of body by pushing
response- infants takes 1 or more step , UE extended fo rprotection
ages 15-18 months
equilibirum sitting
postion seated, extremities relaxed, s
stimulus- head pulled to one side or shoulder pushed
reponse- head righting on non-weight bearing side, trunk flexes, UE and LE abduct and internally rotate, UE parts extend
ages=starts 7-8 months
