Bilious emesis, recurrent abdominal pain, vomiting. Dx? Test? Rx?
Malrotation, volvulus. US. Surgery.
Recurrent nonbilious vomitting after feeds. Dx? Test? Rx?
Pyloric stenosis. US. Surgery (pyloromyotomy).
Bleeding in diaper w/o any other complaints. Dx? Test? Rx?
Meckel Diverticulum. Tc-99m scan
Colicky abdominal pain, lethargic child, shock, fever, currant jelly stool. Dx? Test? Rx?
Intussusception. AXR. Air Enema or manual reduction.
Rx for cystitis in children? Rx for pyelonephritis in children Outpatient ? Inpatient?
- PO Bactrim, Amoxicillin 2. IVCeftriaxone or IV Amp + gentamicin
Management of Vesicoureteral Reflux?
Voiding cystourethrogram and Renal US. Abx prophylaxis with bactrim. Surgery if it fails to resolve or bad complications.
Maculopapular leions (palpable purpura) on legs and but, abdominal pain, fever, URI. Dx? Test? Rx?
HSP. Clinical Diagnosis. Definitive diagnosis: Skin or renal biopsy which will show IgA deposits. Rx: Supportive. Steroids if severe.
Young boy, hearing difficulties, gross hematuria after URI or GI infection, occular abnormalities. Dx?
Alport syndrome
Presents in 20s and 30s, gross hematuria after URI or IG infection with normal C3 levels. Dx?
IgA nephropathy (Berger’s Disease)
Bilateral conjunctivitis, cracked lips, strawbery tongue, erythema and edema of hands and feet, desqaumation of fingertips, cervical lymphadenopathy. Dx? Test?
Kawaski Disease. Clinical Diagnosis. Increase ESR, CRP, plt. Cardiac Mycocarditis, Endocardiits
