What is impetigo?

A

Bacterial infection of the skin due to poor hygiene or infected bite or rash, occurs more often in hot humid months. Presents with vesicle/pustule that progresses to exudative lesion with burning and pruritus.

A

Autosomal recessive trait - no cure. The protein responsible for transporting Na & Cl is defective = secretions are thicker and stickier.
