Acute Respiratory Distress. Thumbprint sign on Xray. Unvaccinated child.
Epiglottitis - Influenza (HiB)
Vomiting, Diarrhea, BULGING and erythematous tympanic membrane
Otitis media
Otitis media Tx for child < 90 days old
UA and labs to rule out UTI before giving Abs. Check in 48-72hrs
Exam Question: 8 month infant who fell from shopping cart. Now progressive vomiting after nap. Exam localizes to a red spot on the left side of her scalp. Moderate boggy tenderness.
Skull fracture and/or Epidural hematoma
Exam Question: 2-8 weeks age male baby. Very hungry. Projectile vomiting. Tinting skin. Hypochloremia and Alkalosis. Focused ultrasound shows enlarged anatomy in epigastrium.
Pyloric stenosis
Sinus Tachycardia Infants
> 220bpm
Sinus Tachycardia Children
> 180 bpm
