O: clavicle, sternum, aponeurosis of external oblique, ribs 1-6
I: crest of greater tubercle of humerus
N: lateral + medial pectoral nerves
A: adducts, flexes, extends (when flexed, not backwards), medially rotates arm
Pectoralis Minor
O: ribs 3-5 (costochondral junction)
I: Coracoid process
N: medial pectoral
A: depress scapula, elevate ribs
Subclavius
O: 1st rib (costochondral junction)
I: inferior acromial end of clavicle
N: subclavian
A: flexes clavicle or elevates rib 1
Serratus Anterior
O: ribs 1-8(9)
I: deep medial border of the scapula
N: long thoracic
A: rotate and protract scapula (pulls medial border forward), elevate ribs
Trapezius
O: occipital protuberance - T12 nuchal ligament
I: superior margin of scapular spine and clavicle
N: accessory and cervical plexus
A: rotate scapula, abduct and extend head
Levator Scapulae
O: transverse processes C1-4
I: superior angle of scapula
N: dorsal scapular
A: elevate scapula
Rhomboideus Minor
O: spinous processes C7-T1
I: medial border of scapula at spine
N: dorsal scapular
A: retracts and elevates scapula
Rhomboideus Major
O: spinous processes T1-4
I: medial border of scapula inferior to spine
N: dorsal scapular
A: retracts and rotates scapula
