Location: large lumen of salivary glands, mammary glands, urethras and large excretory ducts
Pseudostratified (ciliated) Columnar
Layers: only 1, appears as several due to levels of nuclei
Location: trachea, resp. passage ways
Transitional (stratified) Columnar
Layers: 2-4 in full bladder, 6 or more in relaxed state
Location: lines urinary passage ways, not distal parts of urethra
Smooth Muscle
Look: spindle, wavy
What: blood vessels, lines organs
Where: jejunum
Skeletal Muscle
Look: multi-nucleated, striated, bundle of cells
What: Muscle tendon junction
Where: attached between bones
Cardiac Muscle
Look: multi-nucleated, branched, striated
