-lies over ribs 2-7
-Posterior-lateral aspect of the thorax
Clavicle (collar bone)
Describe the anatomy of the scapular
Flat triangular bone
2 surfaces
3 borders
Three angles - sup,infra,”lat=glenoid fossae”
Spine of scapular devides supra-/infra-spinous fossae
Acromion process projecting anteriorly
Coracoid process projects anteriorly, inferior to clavicle
Describe the anatomy of the clavicle
Subcutaneous bone between sternum&acromion
Medial 2/3 are convex
Lat 1/3 concave forward
Smooth superior surface
Inferior surface: costoclavicular area medially and conoid tubercle and trapezoid line laterally

Costoclavicular ligament
Inter clavicle are ligament (both clavs and sternum)

Coracoclavicular ligament
Coraco-acromial ligament
Describe the Trapezius muscle
Orig - med 1/3 sup nuchal line, external occ protuberance, lig nuchae, SPs and SP ligs C7-T12
Inserts - Post lat 1/3 of clav, med border acromion, superior border spine of scap
Spinal accessory nerve
Elevation, lat rotation and depression
Describe the anatomy of Levator Scapulae
Elevates, retracts, medially rotates

What is the anatomy of Serratus anterior?
Protraction, lat rotation
Orig- upper 8/9 ribs outer and Intercostal fascia
Insert-ant med border scapular
Long thoracic nerve C5-7

Deep to PM Protraction and med rot Orig- CP Insert-outer surface and IF ribs 3-5 Med and lat pectoral nerves C6-8
