Weight training
Involves shifting weight to increase the strength of muscles, using a programme of reps + sets. (Rugby player, weight lifters)
Fartlek training
Continuous training with interval training. Fartlek runs are a long distance run. Fartlek training is defined as periods of fast running intermixed with periods of slower running.
Circuit training
Circuit training is a form of body conditioning or endurance training or resistance training using high-intensity. It targets strength building or muscular endurance.
Plyometric training
Plyometric training is a great way for athletes to build explosive power.
Interval training
Physical training consisting of alternating periods of high- and low-intensity activity.
Continuous training
Continuous training is any type of physical training that involves activity without stoping for rest. Continuous training can be performed at low, medium or high exercise intensities.
