A

A

Chronic disease of the liver with degeneration of liver cells.

Scarring (fibrosis) of the liver caused by long-term liver damage. Scar tissue prevents the liver working properly.

A

Abnormal condition of small pouches or sacs (diverticula) in the wall of the intestine (often the colon) Diverticulitis is inflammation and infection within diverticula.

Occurs when small, bulging pouches develop in your digestive tract.

A

Inflammation of the liver.

Liver inflammation can be caused by several viruses, chemicals, drugs, alcohol, certain genetic disorders or by an overactive immune system that mistakenly attacks the liver, called autoimmune hepatitis.

A

Bilirubin is a yellowish pigment that is made during the breakdown of red blood cells.
