This also referred to as the badge. This is a system of personnel movement control
wherein badge/pass is issued by a security personnel for a person to be admitted in the
installation.
Pass and Badge system
Badge by which authorized a person to enter a specific area.
Single pass
Came from the term itself “exchange”. The person is being authorized
to enter the premises in exchange of his basic identification such as I.D. As the person
leave, the badge or pass is being surrendered and retrieve back his identification
document.
Pass exchange
Each restricted area requires a badge/pass
Multiple pass
ID cards are often the solution for larger companies where security guards can be posted
at entrances to check ID cards. Cards with pictures are necessary to ensure that the
person is carrying the correct ID card.
IDENTIFICATION CARDS
can also be used for building access using key pads at doors.
PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION NUMBERS
physical identification tags, often called tokens, which are carried around
with employees for identification
SMART CARDS
scanners are more expensive measures of authentication, which use an
employee’s physical characteristics to gain access.
BIOMETRICS
scanners are often the cheapest biometric scanner to implement and are
very successful as identifying someone based on their unique finger print.
Fingerprint or Handprint scanner
uses the uniqueness of a person’s eye to ensure authentication.
