Continues behind superior mesenteric vessels and in front of aorta and IVC

neck is Site of passage of superior mesenteric vessels
Where is the portal vein in relation to the neck of pancreas?
lies directly behind the neck
anterior portion of neck is adjacent to pylorus

Passes between layers of splenorenal ligament
