What arteries give blood supply to the pancreas?
superior pancreaticoduodenal arteries (posterior & anterior)
inferior pancreaticoduodenal artery (posterior & anterior)
splenic artery (gives a great pancreatic artery & Caudal pancreatic artery dorsal pancreatic artery)- anastomse with the inferior pancreatic artery - from SMA
How is the great pancreatic artery, Caudal pancreatic artery and dorsal pancreatic artery formed?
anastomose between the splenic artery and the inferior pancreatic artery
What does the great pancreatic artery supply?
body of pancreas
what does the caudal pancreatic artery supply?
tail of pancreas
What does the dorsal pancreatic artery supply?
body of pancreas
What does the superior/inferior pancreaticiduodenal arteries supply?
head of pancreas & uniticate process
What is the venous supply of the pancreas ?
all drain to the portal vein
