It is formed as the ‘verbing noun’. It is partially a noun and partially an adjective.
How do present participles end?
-ns, -em, -es
What is the perfect passive participle?
It is formed as ‘the noun, having been verbed’.
How do perfect passive participles end?
They agree with the nouns they describe.
What is the perfect active participle?
It is formed as ‘the noun, having verbed’.
How can you tell the difference between a perfect passive and a perfect active participle?
Perfect passive participles will often have a/ab in the sentence. Only a few verbs can be perfect active.
