coenzima- TPP: involved in decarboxylation reaction
- Lipoic acid, CoA: carrier of the acetyl group
- FAD, NAD: Electron transporters

A

el piruvato se une al TPP y se decarboxila (se forma hidroxieil-tpp)
2.El grupo hidroxietil se oxida y se transfiere al lipoato, formando acetil lipoamida
3.se transfiere el grupo acetil de la lipoamida a la coenzima A
4. por ultimo se regenera la lipoamida
