Verb
A word or a group of words that describes an action, experience or a state.

Adjective
Tell us something about a person or a thing. Can modify nouns or pronouns.
Careful, nice, bitter, red, one, few…
Adverbs
Tell us in what way someone does something. It may also tell when and where something happened. Can modify verbs, adjectives or other adverbs.
Drives, dangerously, easily, sadly, there, after…
Pronoun
Use instead of a noun, usually to avoid repeating the noun.
I, you, ours, mine, yourself, myself…
Conjunction
Joins two words, phrases or sentences together.
For, and, nor, but, or, yet, so, although, because, even if…
Preposition
Used before a noun or a pronoun to show place, time, direction, etc.
In, on, over, during, before, at…
Interjection
A words or two which expresses a strong emotion. It is often followed by an exclamation mark. Sometimes, an adjective or a noun can be used too.
Bingo, aah, hey, eww, well, whoa…
Article
Introduces a noun. There are three words know as articles.
