When preparing to interview a suspect the OC suspect should do what of the following?

After the arrest is made the OC suspects what should they do or consider?
Answer:
Suspects are ISOLATED from each other where there is more than one.
Ensure each suspect arrested as advised of their RIGHTS in accordance with the bill of rights act 1990
In the case of a juvenile suspect consider and address police OBLIGATIONS under the CYFS Act 1989
Consider executing a SEARCH for evidence of the suspects person vehicle home and workplace
Make sure the SEARCH is LAWFUL under a Search and Surveillance Act if appropriate or under a search warrant

What steps must be taken in executing search warrants?
Answer:
Establish a STRATEGY for the search with the OC investigation and whether the premises is to be subject of forensic examination
LIAISE with crime scene coordinator and is a forensic examination appropriate
Ensure a current LEGAL AUTHORITY exists for the search to be conducted pursuant to section 6 of the Search and Surveillance act 2012
ARRANGE for a photographer and fingerprint officer attend the place being searched
Ensure OC EXHIBIT attends the place being searched
Ensure if practicable that the SUSPECT is present when the search is conducted
Search property and vehicles
Assess all evidence found and ascertain its relevance
Photograph all evidence in situ before it is seized
Arrange for evidence to be examined for fingerprints or DNA before it is seized
Exhibits must only be seized under a lawful authority e.g. stolen property, suspects clothing and footwear required for ID purposes or for ESR analysis
Weapons
Any other evidence that may connect the suspect with the crime
Evidence in Plain view or of an in certain status pursuant to sections 112 or 123 of the Search and Surveillance Act 2012
Seek explanations from the suspect regarding any exhibits found and record the explanations.
Have the suspects sign the notes and add a declaration certifying the notes as true and correct
Issue a receipt of any property seized
Ensure all exhibits seized a sealed before removal
Ensure 0C exhibits or scene exhibits officer at the scene records all exhibits in a scene exhibit schedule before removing exhibit seized
Where a suspect refuses to allow search to be conducted under section 88 of S and S Act 2012 for evidential material that is reasonably believed to be on the outside of he body Can force be used?
