-Neoplasm clinically apparent in nearly all cases -Common (20-30% of CA pts) -
Hypercalcemia
-Face/neck flushing, tachycardia, facial/periorbital edema, hypotension, abd pain. -Symptoms produced by secretion of excessive serotonin, bradykinin & other vasoconstrictors from carcinoid tumors
Carcinoid Syndrome
-Weakness of proximal muscles, diminished reflexes -Small Cell Carcinoma of lung
Lambert-Eaton myasthenic syndrome
-Results from ectopic ADH production. -H20 retention and hyponatremia result in AMS
Hyponatremia/SIADH (Syndrome of inappropriate Antidiuretic Hormone
-Manifestation of excessive corticosteroids. -Central obesity, moon face, buffalo hump, muscle atrophy, period problems, ED -Result of peptide ACTH being secreted. -40% cases due to benign pituitary adenoma.
